Apache Tears derived its name because the Apache Indian warriors were forced off a cliff to their death by the cavalry. When the Apache women found their men dead they cried such deep tears of sorrow that it was believed to turn into Apache Tears. A form of obsidian, Apache Tears help to release sorrow, grief and regret to bring about transformation. It cleanses and heals old wounds or baggage that may be carried from the past. Apache Tears can be used for grounding and protection from negative energies.
